A rare piece!
This is an original Romanian manufacture, military, AIM-74 lower handguard retainer.
These retainers were new manufactured and never installed in a rifle, they are coated with heavy oil and sat in storage at the factory.
These retainers are designed to work with a 5.45x39 AIM-74 barrel.
The retainer also has a small style sling loop on the left hand side and includes the locking lever.
