This mechanism comes with the early style short release pin.
This T&E attaches to the crossbar on the M3 tripod, but will be lacking the locking lever and screw.
It is used to control the aim of heavy machine guns by regulating the traverse and elevation of the gun.

Used in *Good* condition, these complete mechanisms will have some wear, and will require some maintenance/cleaning/lubing of springs and screws.
