This mechanism comes with the mid era style long release pin.
This T&E attaches to the crossbar on the M3 tripod, but will be missing the locking lever and / or screw.
It is used to control the aim of heavy machine guns by regulating the traverse and elevation of the gun.

Used in *Good* condition, these complete mechanisms will have some wear, and will require some maintenance/cleaning/lubing of springs and screws.
