Original Yugoslavian M72 (RPK) milled receiver parts kit, M64 style receiver, with mounted bipod, used in *Good* condition.

Sold as a parts kit (as pictured).

These "M64" kits are the true predecessors to the current M72 RPKs!
The M72 Zastava RPK was modeled after this heavy rifle, with a few improvements made along the way, but these are what you have really been after!
Made using MILLED receivers, these kits will NOT have matching serial numbers..
All kits have been torch cut, with the front and rear receiver pieces included.
These parts kits are reclaimed from demilled M72s used by Yugoslavian armed forces.
Kits will have a little rust on bipods, top covers or bolt carriers.
This style of M72 uses a screw-in barrel, same as used with the M64 AK and similar models.
The M64 uses an upper & lower tang to secure the stock, as opposed to the buttstock bolt seen on other models.
These RPKs do not have the button at the rear of the receiver to lock the recoil spring and topcover, as found on the grenade launching guns. Although the topcover may still have the clearance cuts for that button.
These kits are in VERY limited quantity and cannot be reordered by APEX!
Due to our limited stock, kit may OR may not include the cleaning rod.
Kits may or may not include the metal ferrule on the pistol grip, metal ferrule kits will be shipped first!

The Zastava M72 is a light machine gun developed and manufactured by then Yugoslav Zastava Arms company.
Generally, the M72 is almost a direct copy of the Soviet RPK light machine gun, the only visual differences being in barrel, wooden stock, no side rail mount and slight changes to the design of the wooden handguard.
The Zastava M72 chambers and fires the 7.62x39mm M43 round.
It is a gas-operated, air-cooled, drum-fed firearm with a fixed stock.
