These telescopes were originally used with M41 Walker Bulldog and M48 Patton tanks.
The versatile nature of this scope allows use with either the 76 or 90mm main gun found on the assortment of gunnery it was used with.
At over 3 feet long and 23 pounds, this telescope has a long range reticle for hitting armor at great distances.
The length is needed as these have to mount alongside the main gun, in front of the Gunner and the front part has to reach all the way thru the armored gun mantlet.
The adjustable rubber headrests are unused.
