Original US made M31 body assembly for use with the M31 / M29 tank periscope head, fits M60 & M60A1 tank turrets, functional with damage to rear of housing.

These periscope body assemblies are designed for use with the M31& M29 periscope head assembly.
The Periscope, Tank, M31 is primarily intended for use as the gunner's periscope of the primary fire control systems for the 105mm Gun Tanks: M60 and M60A1 and the 90mm Gun Tank: M48A3.
The periscope has an eight power optical system with reticle for laying the main armament on target and a wide range unity power system for observation purposes.

This body assembly is functional, the lenses are clear and the knobs for zeroing the reticle work, but the rear of the housing is damaged and will require sealing and recharging with nitrogen.
