Original German manufactured front sight protector for MP-38 submachine guns, early type, USED in good condition

These front sight protectors fit both the MP-38 and MP-40 submachine guns.
Protectors have a front lip, indicating they are from earlier model MP-38s that had the hinged muzzle cap.
Used in good condition, these will show significant service use and possible minor rust, but no severe bending.
Does not include the retaining pin.
