The Talwar was produced in many varieties, with different types of blades.
It has a distinctive, all-metal, Indo-Muslim hilt, developed in Medieval western India.
By Mughal times, the Talwar had become the most popular form of sword in the Subcontinent.
What we are offerring for sale is an antique hand made Talwar battle sword (as pictured).
The sword will have varying styles and blade lengths, no 2 are identical.
The battle sword will have rust, pitting and wear.
Handles and blades are as described above, not pretty, but artifacts of a time when combat was with blades.
These do exhibit a LOT of history and have seen a lot of use.
