Colt 601 M16 Upper Assembly, 20" Barrel, w/Pistol Grip & Buttstock, Brown, Duckbill Flash Hider *Good*

Colt 601 Upper Receiver Assembly 1959-1963, 20" Barrel, green paint over brown fiberglass hand guards & buttstock, 3-prong "duckbill" flash hider, triangle charging handle, chromed slickside bolt carrier assembly, 5.56X45 NATO, in *Very Good* condition.

Own a part of history with this early Colt Manufactured upper assembly!
Possible years of production on this assembly are between 1959 and 1963.
This is one of the few original M16's left with the brown fiberglass furniture, painted green.
Early type with non-numbered rear sight knob and no directional markings on receiver.
Early cast front sight base with roll pin.
This barrel does Not have the chrome-lined chamber or bore.
Assembly has the Colt proof marks on the front right side of the receiver.
Brown fiberglass triangle type handguards, buttstock, and pistol grip have been painted green and have some signs of wear, scratches, small chips, etc...
Small cracks in buttstock near buttplate and on both sides of sling swivel (as pictured).
Includes original triangle type charging handle, chromed slickside bolt carrier assembly and 3-prong "duckbill" type flash hider.
Moderate surface rust on exterior of barrel under handguards.
Bore is in *Good* condition, with some light pitting.
Lower assembly, FCG parts, and pistol grip screw are NOT included.

This Upper Assembly includes:
- Early M16 triangle type handguard assembly with handguard cap and straight barrel nut assembly.
- Early cast type front sight base.
- L shape rear sight with windage adjustment. 
- M16 style carry handle upper, with large square plate ejection port cover.
- 20" barrel with 3-prong "duckbill" type flash hider.
- Chromed bolt carrier with early heavy flat head firing pin and machined retaining pin.
- Original brown fiberglass pistol grip.
